Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb Comments On 2011 State Of The State Address, Says Governor Cuomo’s Speech Represents “A Chance For New York To Hit The Reset Button”
Statement from Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua)
January 5, 2011
“Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address represents a fresh start and a chance for New York to hit the ‘reset’ button. Many of the themes he outlined – the need to return to fiscal responsibility, better management of state government and taxpayer dollars, delivering real tax relief, rebuilding our economy and strengthening ethics – are the cornerstone issues our Assembly Minority Conference has led the fight on. What is needed – and has been lacking in the recent past – is the necessary follow-through to turn this poetry into prose, to have today’s words translate into actual public policies. I will partner with the Governor, continuing our Conference’s commitment to bi-partisan cooperation and advancing an agenda focused on delivering real solutions to the real problems confronting New York’s taxpayers and businesses.”
