Nolan Encourages Smiling Faces
August 16, 2006

Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan (D-Queens) hosted the New York University College of Dentistry’s mobile dental care van at her Ridgewood district office recently. The van provided dental screening with a report and referral for dental services along with bags of goodies for the kids, healthy goodies of course. Children between the ages of 2 and 15 were welcome to come. All day the van helped 32 children learn more about dental care and caring for their teeth, good habits which can last a lifetime.
“Good habits like proper brushing need to be taught when the children are young so they will stick,” said Assemblywoman Nolan. “I know what it’s like trying to teach a child that brushing teeth every day really is a good thing. It is gratifying to have helped so many children start on the path to healthy habits which can last the rest of their lives.”
