Lupinacci Hosts Emergency Preparedness And Hurricane Seminar With The Office Of Emergency Services
Seminar Helps Prepare Residents For The Next Emergency
September 25, 2013

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci joined a representative from the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management during the Hurricane Preparedness Seminar.

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) yesterday joined representatives from the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management (OEM); Town of Huntington Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners for the Huntington Manor Fire Department, Michael Pastore; and local residents to learn how to be well prepared in the event of a disaster. The emergency preparedness and hurricane safety seminar was part of an ongoing effort by OEM and the assemblyman to help better prepare residents in the event of a natural disaster or emergency situation.

“I want to thank the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management, the Town of Huntington Department of Emergency Preparedness and all the residents who attended the event for their commitment to emergency preparedness,” said Lupinacci. “Over the last few years, Long Island has experienced two powerful natural disasters that highlighted the strengths of our community and the skills of our first responders. However, before our community faces another natural disaster, it’s important to reflect on these events and learn from them so we can be better prepared for the future. I hope everyone who attended found the tips provided by OEM helpful. While we can’t predict when the next disaster will occur, we can do everything in our power to mitigate the damage and protect our residents and communities.”
