Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci joined a representative from the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management during the Hurricane Preparedness Seminar.
“I want to thank the Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management, the Town of Huntington Department of Emergency Preparedness and all the residents who attended the event for their commitment to emergency preparedness,” said Lupinacci. “Over the last few years, Long Island has experienced two powerful natural disasters that highlighted the strengths of our community and the skills of our first responders. However, before our community faces another natural disaster, it’s important to reflect on these events and learn from them so we can be better prepared for the future. I hope everyone who attended found the tips provided by OEM helpful. While we can’t predict when the next disaster will occur, we can do everything in our power to mitigate the damage and protect our residents and communities.”
