Assemblywoman Tenney (R,C,I –New Hartford) today announced a scholarship opportunity offered by the Associated General Contractors of New York State for current college students pursuing a degree in civil engineering.

Prospective students must be enrolled in their second, third or fourth undergraduate year with at least a 2.50 GPA, pursuing a degree in civil engineering, and looking to enter either the building- or highway-construction industries. Applications must be received by May 15, 2011, and can be sent to:
10 Airline Drive Suite 203
Albany, NY 12205
The program awarded about 20 $2,500 scholarships last year and more than $825,000 in total scholarships to New York civil engineering students since 1988.
