Claudia Tenney: Protecting Our 2nd Amendment

The safety of our families, children and community inspired Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney to become our representative in Albany. However, New York’s hastily-passed gun control law does not provide safety or security for anyone but criminals.

The right to bear arms is absolutely and unequivocally a right for self protection, protecting one’s family, protecting one’s community and culture. Hundreds of years of history and tradition are being stripped away by those who are ignorant of the Bill of Rights’ intent.

Furthermore, the new law fails to give those who are mentally challenged the much-needed support they deserve. Law-abiding citizens, by definition, are not the perpetrators of the recent heinous crimes committed against children and first responders.

Smart solutions to help those with mental health issues and a hard stance on violent criminals are needed. Not a gun grab focused on law-abiding citizens.

Legal and responsible New Yorkers who own guns should not be penalized or have their constitutional Second Amendment rights compromised.

As a strong supporter of our Second Amendment, Claudia Tenney voted against the legislation – and now needs your help to send a message to Albany to repeal and replace these restrictive new measures.
