AIM Funding Gets Helpful Boost in Assembly Budget; First Increase in 5 Years
March 8, 2013
“The Assembly budget includes the first increase in Aid and Incentives for Municipalities (AIM) funding since the 2008-2009 budget. This funding will help local governments in Westchester balance their budgets while easing the burden on local taxpayers as we continue to get our economy back on track,” Assemblyman David Buchwald (D-Westchester) said.
“It’s important for state government to recognize the difficult situations cities, towns and villages are facing and this additional money should go towards helping maintain services we rely on as a community. I will continue fight to get this vital funding included in the final budget.”
The Assembly budget reflects about a 10 percent increase in AIM funding for Westchester municipalities.
