March 26, 2013

Assemblyman David Buchwald (D-Westchester) announced the release of school aid runs for the 2013-14 state budget. The spending plan, which is expected to be taken up by the Assembly this week, provides $21.2 billion for schools statewide, an increase of $936.6 million over last year and $436 million over the executive budget (A.3007-D).

“The increased funding in the final budget will go towards helping our school districts provide the best possible education available,” Assemblyman Buchwald said. “Ensuring that all students have access to a quality education is vital to Westchester families and to the future of our economy.”

Specifically, aid will go to the following schools:

  • Bedford CSD: $5,013,363, an increase of $545,328 over last year, or 12.21 percent;
