DiPietro: Ease Transition Into New York For Military Spouses

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C – East Aurora) is sponsoring legislation designed to reduce the amount of Albany-centric red tape that slows the hiring process for the spouses of military veterans upon their return arrival to New York. The legislation is Assembly Bill A.2590.

“New York should be focused on easing the transition for military families being relocated to our state,” DiPietro said. “As a state, we cannot afford to lag behind on veterans’ issues. When a family is stationed in a new state, the hosting state should streamline the licensing process in order to make their lives as easy as possible. Similar legislation has previously passed the state Senate; we have to get this bill to the floor as soon as possible to make New York more suitable for veterans and all New Yorkers.”

Assemblyman David DiPietro is the Ranking Minority Member of the Small Business Committee.
