End of Session, End of a Mess

A statement by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) on the end of this year’s legislative session.

“With the end of another legislative session we once again see the Majority’s focus on their own pet projects and interests to the detriment of hard working New Yorkers. Instead of passing bills to support our agriculture industry or help our citizens stricken by the opioid epidemic, like passing Death by Dealer, we spent our time voting on the legalization of alcoholic ice cream.

“When we have real issues to tackle we shouldn’t be taking the time that we have on ridiculous bills, we should focus on the problems that tax payers face every day and work to make their lives easier. I am eager for the chance to get back on the floor in January and hold them accountable for ignoring the voices of working class New York.”
