Recognizing Organizers for the Autism Nature Trail

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) recently presented certificates to Loren Penman, Gail Serventi, Joan Mokdessi and Susan Herrnstein for outstanding citizenship and efforts in the creation of an Autism Nature Trail to be constructed in Letchworth State Park. The trail will be designed specifically for people with autism and will have different types of ground cover ranging from gravel, rubber chips, wood chips and sand to give a different feel as they walk along the path.

“The dedication of these four women is so inspiring to me and I am happy to present them with these certificates for their service to the disability community,” DiPietro said. “Ensuring that everyone can enjoy our state parks and our beautiful outdoors is such a laudable goal. Thank you so much Loren, Gail, Joan and Susan. Your dedication, care and thoughtfulness set an example for us all.”
