McDonough Visits Mepham High School

Students discuss legislation pending in the Assembly

Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) met today with students at Mepham High School. The students, who are part of Mr. Dircks’ U.S. History class, wrote the assemblyman about various pieces of legislation they supported.

“The students all were incredibly knowledgeable and well-versed in the issues set to come before the Assembly,” said McDonough. “They also provided some valuable insight into their experience with Common Core testing. I want to thank Mr. Dircks for providing me the opportunity to speak to his students. It was a pleasure to visit and listen to everything they had to say.”
