Murray Talks Tough On Taxes At Budget Hearing
February 7, 2012

Assemblywoman Teresa R. Sayward (R, I – Willsboro) and Assemblyman Dean Murray (R, C – East Patchogue) confer during the joint legislative budget hearing on taxes.
February 6 marked the joint legislative budget hearing on taxes, and Assemblyman Dean Murray (R, C – East Patchogue) was an active participant in the day’s discussion. With a recent study from the Tax Foundation ranking New York second to last in tax-friendliness for businesses, this hearing was an opportunity for Murray to continue the fight to rid the state of its barriers to economic growth and prosperity.
“As a member of the Committee on Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry, I want to make sure that our businesses and residents are not overburdened with taxes that create an impossible climate to thrive, much less live in,” said Murray. “This tax policy budget hearing helps to ensure that lawmakers are working to reduce New York’s sky-high tax rates by crafting responsible state spending plans.”
