State of the State Statement
January 9, 2013
“The road map set forth by Governor Cuomo at today’s annual State of the State gives New Yorkers much to look forward to in the upcoming year. I am particularly optimistic that many of his proposals will have lasting, positive effects on the mid-Hudson Valley. Programs such as the Taste NY program will help to promote locally grown and produced products.
“Having spent my entire adult life advocating for the empowerment of women and children – I am thrilled that the Governor has made it a priority to protect women and end gender discrimination and inequality. I look forward to working with the Governor and my colleagues in the Legislature to bring this ambitious plan to fruition.”
