Assemblyman Ra Recognizes Nurses Week In New York

Assemblyman Ed Ra (21st Assembly District) recently presented a Legislative Resolution to Franklin Square General Hospital which proclaims May 6-13, 2011 as Nurses Week in New York state. Noting that nurses provide dedicated care to our communities on a daily basis, Ra stated that recognizing Nurses Week in New York should serve as a calling for more input from nurses with regards to patient care and formally recognizing that the work they do is a crucial part of the healthcare continuum.

“I am honored to present this Legislative Resolution proclaiming Nurses Week in New York state,” said Ra. “The services and programs Franklin Square General Hospital provides to our community are tremendous, but the high quality of care would not be possible without nurses. They understand the importance of building relationships with their patients and serve as the support for patients and their families when they need it the most. We as a community owe our heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding care all of our nurses provide.”
