Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee addressed the Rockland Business Association’s Women’s Forum on Wednesday, July 29th at 3 pm at the Comfort Inn in Nanuet. She discussed state legislation relating to women-owned businesses and responded to questions from the group.
“The RBA Women’s Forum is a tremendous resource for any elected official who wants to zero-in on the needs of women in New York,” said Assemblywoman Jaffee. “Women’s Forum members hold a valuable perspective on the issues facing New York’s women and families, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to open up a dialogue.”
Assemblywoman Jaffee, who was recently appointed chairperson of the Assembly Task Force on Women’s Issues, is organizing an event for Women in Business and hopes to gain insight into what information would be helpful to Rockland’s businesswomen.
“Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee has been bringing women's issues to the forefront for years,” said Joan Neumann, Vice President for Administration at the Rockland Business Association. “We're looking forward to learning first hand what progress has been made and what is being done with those items that still need attention."
