Pearl River, NY – On September 26, Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee (D-Suffern) will host a Health Insurance Information Session at the Suffern Library, 210 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern.

The New York State of Health, The Official Health Plan Marketplace, is where New Yorkers will shop for, compare and enroll in health insurance coverage. The Marketplace will begin enrollment on October 1, 2013 for health insurance coverage that starts on January 1, 2014.

Topics to be covered:

  • A description of New York’s health plan marketplace for individuals and small businesses.
  • How to enroll, what health plan options are available, and accessing available support and financial assistance

  • Nancy Haggerty, Rockland County Department of Health
  • Andrew Lehto, Hudson River Health Care – HRHCare
