“Hudson Valley families deserve a sensible, responsible, on-time budget, and today, we achieved just that. This year’s budget closes a $3.5 billion budget gap without any gimmicks and limits spending growth to two percent.
“I voted for this year’s budget because it’s fiscally sound and signals a new day in Albany. This budget provides funding for schools, EPIC and helps create jobs all without increasing taxes or fees.
“As this years legislative session moves forward, I will continue fighting for an increase in the minimum wage and provide further – and much needed – mandate relief to help make life less taxing for working families.”
