Assemblyman Skartados Supports Increased Funding for Local Roads
First increase in funding for Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) in 5 years
March 27, 2013

"The 2013-14 state budget includes an increase of $1,201,177 in funding for county highways, $199,754 for city streets, and $119,290 for town roads under the state CHIPS program in mid-Hudson Valley. This money will help create good jobs, repair our roads and bridges, and allow local governments to hold the line on taxes.

"With an increase in CHIPS funding of more then 24%, the 2013-14 state budget means less potholes, more jobs, and smoother ride across the mid-Hudson Valley."
