Coordinated in New York State by the New York Credit Union Foundation, the LifeSmarts Program is an educational opportunity where students from across the state demonstrate their personal knowledge of real-life marketplace issues in five key areas: personal finance, health and safety, environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities.
Teams of students from all over New York State participate in an online competition, with the top 12 teams advancing to the Finals Competition on March 18 at the New York State Museum. William Floyd placed 4th and Assemblyman Thiele was on hand to greet the students and their team coaches. He presented each of them with an Assembly Citation congratulating them on their impressive finish.
