Assembly Minority Ready To Meet Challenges
Statement from Assemblyman Jim Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady/Saratoga)
April 6, 2009
“For the past three years I have been honored to serve as the Assembly Minority Leader. Today, I passed the torch on to my colleague and friend Brian Kolb, who I know will continue to lead the hardest-working conference in the state Legislature, as we chart a bold new course for the people of the Empire State.
Over the years we have accomplished so much, including stopping a dangerous plot by our former governor to give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens and further protecting our children from dangerous sexual predators. Much more remains to be done. Under Brian Kolb’s leadership I know this conference is ready to meet the challenges that lay ahead, challenges such as putting our economy back on track by investing in our communities, creating new jobs and lowering taxes for hardworking New Yorkers.
As I prepare for a new phase in my career as a public servant, I look forward to working with our new Minority Leader, Brian Kolb, to accomplish even more to make this state great again.”
