Tedisco On State Of The State Address: “The Empire State Strikes Back”
Statement from Assemblyman Jim Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady-Saratoga), Former Assembly Minority Leader and Current Assistant Minority Whip
January 4, 2012

“The historic and cosmetic improvements to the Capitol are symbolic of the economic and governmental reforms we have advanced in the past year. Governor Cuomo’s message today was unmistakable: The Empire State strikes back!”

“The Governor set the tone for what I hope will be another productive legislative session that will deliver positive results for taxpayers. Our top priorities moving forward must be restraining and capping state spending, enacting mandate relief to lower local property taxes and continue to remove obstacles to help the private sector create jobs.”

“I also look forward to working with Governor Cuomo who has embraced our effort to help protect children from abuse by passing legislation to close the Penn State loophole and make college coaches and professionals mandatory reporters of child abuse.”
