Assemblywoman Jane Corwin (R,C,I-Clarence) today marked the close of her First Annual Winter Clothing Drive that began on December 8.
“I am thrilled by the number of donations,” Corwin exclaimed. “Once again, the good neighbors of Western New York have come through for those in need.”
Clothing was collected from across the 142nd Assembly District with the Aurora Town Library and the Family YMCA of Lockport graciously serving as drop-off points. Executive Cleaners in Clarence donated their services in making sure the clothing was clean and ready to wear.
“I’d like to thank the YMCA of Lockport, the Aurora Town Library and Executive Cleaners for partnering with me to make this event an outstanding success,” Corwin said. “The nearly one hundred bags of winter clothing will go a long way to keeping our neighbors warm through the chilly winter.”
Donations were given to local charities throughout the 142nd Assembly District including St. John’s Outreach in Lockport, Lockport Cares, and Fish of East Aurora.
