Duprey Looks Forward To Promising New Year
January 7, 2013

Assemblywoman Janet Duprey (R,I,-Peru) is looking forward to the start of the 2013 Legislative Session, as there appear to be broad changes occurring not only on the national level but in New York state as well.

“There has been a momentum felt here in New York from the past few sessions that will only continue to spread and usher in change,” said Duprey. “2013 will be another year of positive change, one that will help bring our state and the North Country back to their position at the forefront of business, manufacturing and technology. As a leader in innovation, the Empire State is back on the rise and we will continue to reach new heights.”

With the recent $90.2 million in awards for economic development, the North Country has been labeled a top performer in the state. Since 2006, the Assemblywoman has been serving New York to the best of her abilities, ensuring that the people can enjoy the state’s wealth of resources and opportunities. For the 2013-14 Legislative Sessions, Minority Leader Brian Kolb has appointed Assemblywoman Duprey as the Minority Conference Secretary. She will continue to be the Ranking Minority Member for the Government Operations Committee and will serve on the committees of Corrections, Ethics and Guidance, Higher Education, Rules, and Ways & Means.
