Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) tonight released the following statement regarding the movement of legislation he supports to allow Nik Wallenda to traverse the Niagara Falls River Gorge on a high wire. The bill was unanimously passed by the Assembly Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development committee today and is now one step closer to being passed by the full Assembly.
“Today, we moved one step closer toward passing an important economic development initiative that will attract tourists to the region and increase local revenue. I would like to thank the tourism committee, Senator Maziarz and Assemblyman Gabryszak for their help in ushering this bill through the Legislature.”
