Ceretto Plugged Into New York’s Energy Future
Assemblyman supports Power NY power-plant-siting legislation
June 23, 2011
Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) today released the following statement regarding the passage of Power NY, legislation designed to increase New York’s power production and lower energy costs:
“Power NY is a win-win for families and businesses across New York State. The legislation will help to increase New York’s current energy production, which will result in lower-cost power for families and businesses and will allow for better planning to meet our state’s growing energy needs.
“In addition to putting New York on the path to a more sustainable future, Power NY also creates a low-interest loan program through NYSERDA, which will help families make their homes more energy efficient to reduce costs and help create a cleaner environment for future generations.
“I applaud Senator Maziarz for his leadership in drafting this important legislation as well as his help in shepherding the bill through the Legislature.”
