Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I – Lewiston) attended a graduation ceremony for 28 students from the SUNY ATTAIN and Workforce Investment Act Youth programs.
The SUNY ATTAIN program, which partners with the Niagara Housing Authority, focuses on providing continuing education programs to help students prepare for the economic challenges of tomorrow.
The Workforce Investment Act Youth Program has two components: during the day students will learn in a training setting for a certain skill; in the evening, these students will apply the skills they learned at a relevant internship.
“I’m extremely proud of the graduating classes from both programs,” said Ceretto. “These students are making a long-term investment in their future. In my lifetime, I’ve explored a number of different career paths and the steps these students are taking will be great preparation for the unique and rewarding challenges ahead.”
Assemblyman Ceretto spoke and presented certificates of merit to the graduates at a ceremony held this afternoon.
