Ceretto: Tax Reform Package Would Lead To Jobs
Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) today released the following statement regarding his vote to pass Governor Cuomo’s tax-reform package:
December 8, 2011
“This legislation provides overdue tax relief to Niagara County families and seniors and contains a number of provisions that will help create jobs and foster economic growth. The tax cuts included in this bill will result in middle-class families paying some of the lowest tax rates in 50 years and will provide New Yorkers with needed relief from some of the highest taxes in the nation.
“The bill also reduces taxes for our region’s manufacturers while enhancing investments in New York’s transportation infrastructure. These targeted tax cuts and new investments will help to make New York a more attractive place to do business and will lead to job creation throughout Western New York.
“While we accomplished much tonight, lawmakers must continue to work to eliminate costly unfunded mandates and reduce state spending in order to make the Empire State a more affordable place for hardworking families and job creators.”
