Ceretto: Gov’s Budget Gives Lawmakers Tools To Build A Better Buffalo-Niagara Region
January 17, 2012
Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) today remarked that Governor Cuomo’s proposed state budget provides lawmakers with the necessary tools to enhance the Buffalo-Niagara region’s economic development and job creation potential.
“It is refreshing to see that Governor Cuomo is focused on bolstering our region’s economy,” said Ceretto. “The $1 billion investment proposed in his Executive Budget, coupled with $95 million in enhanced spending for New York’s parks are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for our region to rebuild its economy, create jobs and strengthen the agricultural and tourism industries in Western New York.
“By focusing on economic growth, controlling state spending and proposing several initiatives to reduce costly unfunded state mandates, Governor Cuomo’s proposed budget gives us the tools to build a stronger economy and enhance the quality of life for all Western New Yorkers,” said Ceretto.
