Ceretto: New York Budget Looks West In 2012
January 25, 2012
Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) released the following statement regarding Governor Andrew Cuomo’s budget presentation in Western New York today:
“From the proposed $1 billion in economic development funding for the Buffalo-Niagara region to new and enhanced investment commitments for our parks and infrastructure, Governor Cuomo’s budget lays the foundation for a stronger and more robust economy in Western New York.
“Before the presentation, I had the opportunity to meet with Governor Cuomo to discuss my vision for rebuilding the region’s economy, and I applaud him for refocusing the state’s attention on a region that for too long has been underserved by Albany. I look forward to working with the Governor and my colleagues in the state Legislature to adopt policies that will move New York forward and put Niagara County on stronger economic footing.”
