Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) is teaming up with the Made in the USA Foundation to support “Made in the USA Day” on July 2. The event will promote American-made products.
“This week, New Yorkers will be celebrating our nation’s independence with parties, food and family get-togethers,” said Ceretto. “I am urging these friends and neighbors to take some time out of their busy schedules to reflect on the great creativity and innovation of the American worker.
“As someone who spent 20 years working as a laborer in a manufacturing plant, I understand firsthand the economic pressures faced by our men and women in manufacturing. By adjusting our buying habits to purchase more American products, we can help protect jobs here and bolster our economy.”
The Made in the USA Foundation is dedicated to promoting products manufactured in the United States, as well as products assembled in the USA. The organization’s goal is to create good-paying jobs in our country and a sustainable, environmentally sound and healthy economy.
“Enjoy your Fourth of July, and please remember to practice patriotism with your wallet and buy American,” said Ceretto.
