Ceretto: Power Board’s First Meeting A Success
Western New York Power Allocation Board’s first meeting held today
March 4, 2013

Assemblyman John Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) expressed optimism today after the Western New York Power Allocation Board held their first meeting. The board was set up after a bill sponsored by Ceretto to ensure power produced in Western New York stays in the region was signed into law. At the meeting, the board put forth a responsible plan to allow businesses to apply for this low-cost power by April 8.

“Today’s meeting was a real sign of progress for Western New York,” said Ceretto. “We were able to establish goals and benchmarks for power allocation in our region that should prove extremely beneficial to our small businesses. I urge every job creator in our area to apply immediately to receive the benefits of Western New York’s ability to provide low-cost power.”

Any businesses interested in applying may find information from the New York Power Authority at http://www.nypa.gov/.
