Assemblyman John D. Ceretto (R,I-Lewiston) helped celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday over the weekend by reading “The Cat in the Hat” to children at the Grand Island Memorial Library. The event, also part of Read Across America, was intended to spur imagination and a love of reading in children.
"When my children were little, the stories of Dr. Seuss really helped to unlock their creativity and imagination,” said Ceretto. “I enjoyed reading ‘The Cat in the Hat’ to the kids at the Grand Island Memorial Library and hope that it inspired their curiosity and desire to read."
