Children Awarded Excellence in Reading Certificates by Assemblyman Saladino
October 2, 2005

Children from the 12th Assembly District who successfully completed the Summer Reading Challenge were recognized by Assemblyman Joseph Saladino (12th AD-Massapequa) at a Halloween costume party recently at the Farmingdale Public Library. In addition to providing the kids with treats, Saladino presented the students with a New York State Assembly Excellence in Reading certificate to recognize their participation in the challenge. The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to read at least 15 minutes each day for 40 days over their summer vacation. Assemblyman Saladino is a member of the Assembly Education Committee.
