Assemblyman Saladino Applauds Governor’s State of the State Message
January 5, 2006
I am pleased that the Governor’s message today highlighted some major aspects of the Assembly minority’s plan for 2006 including a balanced and timely budget, major tax cuts, great reforms in job creation, and most importantly keeping violent sex offenders off of our streets.
I am happy to learn that today marks the beginning of statewide televised broadcasts of Assembly and Senate Legislative sessions. This is an important step towards opening the legislative process up to our constituents. Now our constituents can watch us deliberate live on television allowing them to see us working for them. I hope by doing so we can educate the public to the process and enlist their help in protecting children. This is the year we will finally pass civil confinement legislation and I will not rest until we do so.
