Assemblyman Joseph Saladino will host a round-table discussion of Long Island’s rising property taxes from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, May 19 at Farmingdale Public Library.
The event, sponsored by Saladino and the Assembly Minority Steering Committee, is free and open to the public. Expected guests include local town supervisors, school district superintendents and local civic and senior citizen associations.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for my colleagues and I to reach out to local officials and residents to discuss ways of putting an end to the increasing burden of property taxes on Long Island property owners,” said Saladino. “Too many residents are forced to leave their homes because of the crushing burden of property taxes, and this needs to end. A permanent solution must be put in place now, and I am fighting to see that it is.”
Farmingdale Public Library is at 116 Merritts Road, and its phone number is (516) 249- 9090. For more information, contact Assemblyman Saladino’s district office at (516) 844-0635.
