Farmingdale High School students and Farmingdale School District educators traveled to Albany today as part of an educational program studying state government and to lobby for more state aid. Assemblyman James Conte (R,C,I,WF-Huntington Station) and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino (Massapequa) once again pledged their support to call on the Governor to greatly increase state aid to our district and remove unfunded mandates in an effort to protect property taxpayers.
The group was introduced on the floor of the Assembly during session to put a face on the issue of inadequate state funding. Assemblymen Conte and Saladino have been leaders in increasing state aid above and beyond the governor’s proposals in the past years.
