Assemblyman Joseph S. Saladino recently served as the Master of Ceremonies at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) performance in the New York State Capitol. The performance starred high school students from throughout the state. Assemblyman Saladino met with NYSSMA’s 2nd Vice President and Director of Music at Massapequa School District, Dr. David Gaines, and Clara Sugar, a piano teacher, music educator, long-time Wantagh resident and wife of the late Joseph Sugar. Assemblyman Saladino is a strong supporter of music education programs on Long Island. He attends their Albany performance each year to show his continued support for the NYSSMA program.
