Assemblyman Saladino Presents Citation To Ukraine Kiwanis President Lora Paulenko

The Massapequa Kiwanis Club (pronounced Ku-wahn-us) recently hosted a special meeting to honor visiting Kiwanis members from Kiev, Ukraine. Massapequa Kiwanis President Ted Heim was host to Mrs. Paulenko and her family during their visit. Founded in 1915, Kiwanis is an international organization that now has more than 8,000 clubs in over 80 countries with more than 300,000 members. As one of its local chapters, the Massapequa Kiwanis Club’s objective is to respond to the needs of the community, and under the leadership of President Ted Heim, they are responsibly active in anti-drug efforts to protect our youth. Assemblyman Saladino has been a member of the Massapequa Kiwanis Club for over 20 years, where he has served as president and committee chairman.
