Assemblyman Joseph S. Saladino is teaming up with the United States Marine Corps this holiday season to provide new toys, teen gifts, sports equipment, and books for children and teenagers on Long Island. The program’s honorary Chairman for this year is Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano. The Marine’s Major Chuck Kilbride also has named, posthumously, New York State Supreme Court Justice Joseph J. Saladino, as this year’s honorary co-Chairman.
“I am honored and appreciative that Major Kilbride would name my late father, along with County Executive Mangano, as honorary chairmen, to bring attention to such an important program,” said Assemblyman Saladino. “The Toys for Tots program brings a lot of happiness to families who are struggling at this time of year. I would invite and encourage everyone to consider donating a toy or a gift appropriate for teenagers this year.”
Assemblyman Saladino’s Massapequa office will serve as one of the collection sites for this year’s toy drive. Unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the District Office located at 200 Boundary Avenue, Massapequa, NY.
For more information about the Toys for Tots program, interested participants are encouraged to call Assemblyman Saladino’s office at 516-844-0635.
