Assemblyman Joseph Saladino is teaming up with the United States Marine Corps this holiday season to help provide new toys to needy families. Assemblyman Saladino’s office is accepting toy donations until December 24th. Toys suitable for teens are being requested and are in high demand, as well as traditional toys suitable for toddlers.
“It is a great pleasure to work with the United States Marine Corps and once again help them conduct their annual Toys for Tots drive,” said Saladino. “This worthwhile program provides toys to underprivileged children who otherwise might not receive a gift this Christmas. A donation this year will make an even bigger difference because of the many families hit hard by the current recession.”
Each year, many area children are better able to enjoy the holidays due to the generous donation of toys their families would otherwise not be able to afford. With the difficult economic times and job losses more prevalent in our Long Island community, it has become harder for working families to provide a joyous Christmas and Hanukkah for their children.
Collection boxes for the Toys for Tots drive are located at Assemblyman Saladino’s District Office at 200 Boundary Avenue, Massapequa, NY, at the corner of Boundary Avenue and Broadway.
