Assemblyman Joseph S. Saladino is proud to host the 2011 Women of Distinction event at the Farmingdale Library on April 30. The ceremony recognizes the accomplishments of some outstanding women in the 12th Assembly district who make our community a better place to live and work. This year’s Women of Distinction recipients are Joan Flaumenbaum, Madelyn Ann Harper, Halina Howlett, Karen Landau, Dr. Mary Ellen Nesnay, Aracy Sacks, and Rosemary Styne. These women are not only outstanding in their specific fields but are role models for young women to emulate. Assemblyman Saladino encourages everyone to attend the ceremony honoring these women who have given so much to their communities.
