Assemblyman Joseph Saladino and Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino greeted Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, Executive Director of the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) in Albany. Reynolds was instrumental in helping our state legislators pass the historic I-STOP legislation, which is a system designed to stop over-prescribing. He is now working to provide more access to inpatient treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction services.
“Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds and the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence have been instrumental in keeping our communities and our children safe from heroin and prescription drug abuse,” said Saladino. “His perseverance and dedication to his cause is inspiring and has changed Long Island for the better. I will continue to work with Dr. Reynolds to find solutions to the problems of alcoholism and prescription drug dependency.”
