Assemblyman Saladino Announces Grants For Child Care Providers Impacted By Superstorm Sandy

Assemblyman Joseph Saladino today announced the availability of $200 million in federal Social Services Block Grant funds to New York State for rebuilding, repairing and renovating child care facilities. Grant money may also be used for family-based and center-based child care programs as well as mental hygiene and health care facilities that were impacted by the storm. “If you run a child care agency that was impacted by Superstorm Sandy, there is now federal money available to help you get your facility back up and running or reimburse you for some of your expenses,” said Assemblyman Saladino. “This important grant program run by New York State will help bring back the child care services that Long Island parents depend on for their children each day when they go to work.”
