“Beef: It’s What’s For Dinner”

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush toured the Tri-Town Meat Packing Plant in Brasher Falls today, where he spoke with owner Tom Liberty about government regulations that burden the business and industry, including state environmental and labor regulations, in addition to federal meat inspection standards and procedures. The Assemblyman also learned about the butchering and meat packing process—from farm to table. The Assemblyman noted he was impressed with the skills and experience of the workers in the facility; the diversity of services the plant provides, including smoking cheese and bacon; and the modern and complex equipment the plant uses to process meat.
