Blankenbush: Albany Heading Down Brighter Path
Statement from Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C-Black River)
June 21, 2012
“When I first arrived in Albany, it was an entirely different place – rife with dysfunction, gridlock and wastefulness. Now, New York’s government is heading down a much better path and more able to serve its many hardworking families.
“We reined in spending, reduced taxes, closed deficits, invested in our economy and passed laws to protect our most vulnerable citizens. We still have more to accomplish like real unfunded mandate relief to lower property taxes for good, and other bills that are important to Northern New York like the UTV bill that will boost tourism and sales surrounding these outdoor recreational vehicles.
“I am proud to have played a part in turning Albany around for the better, and I know in the coming years we’ll continue doing what’s right for all New Yorkers.”
