Blankenbush Tapped To Work On Human Services Portion Of Budget Negotiations

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) was recently named to represent the Assembly Minority Conference for the Human Services portion of the Joint Budget Committee. The committee consists of state assembly members and senators who will negotiate the finer points of the state budget to ready it for an on-time passage.

“It’s important that we always make sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and maximized for efficiency,” said Blankenbush. “My goal is to ensure we provide great services to the people of this state while protecting the taxpayer money.”

The joint budget committee is part of the final processes leading up to the passage of an on-time budget. The budget is due April 1.
