Assemblyman Zebrowski: Ethics Measures Are an Important Step for Getting Albany Back On Track
June 6, 2011
“This agreement is an important step in getting Albany back on track and restoring the people’s faith in government. These measures will create a new ethics watchdog, provide for greater financial disclosure of lawmakers’ outside income, require elected officials to disclose their clients who have business before the state, and strip away public pensions from elected officials convicted of a felony – reforms that I have long advocated for. These reforms are a long time coming and I remain committed to getting this legislation passed before the end of session.”
