Statement from Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski on the Governor’s Executive Budget
January 22, 2013
Today Governor Cuomo's budget address outlined a plan that will continue to improve New York's economy and assist Rockland County families. First, the budget will follow through on our pledge to increase education aid by 4% and will provide much needed assistance to our local schools. In addition, the Governor proposed several new initiatives designed to foster new businesses and create jobs. Lastly, I am encouraged that the Governor announced that the budget will contain several mandate relief proposals to assist local governments and taxpayers. As I work with the Governor's office to pass another on-time and fiscally responsible budget I pledge to listen to the input of my Rockland County constituents to ensure the final bill addresses their concerns.
