Assemblymember Kevin Cahill and Breast Cancer Options Co-Sponsor Breast Cancer Forum in Ellenville

Assemblymember Kevin Cahill (D-Ulster, Dutchess) and Hope Nemiroff, Executive Director of Breast Cancer Options, announce that they are co-sponsoring a Breast Cancer Forum this Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 7pm at the Ellenville Public Library Community Room, 40 Center Street, Ellenville.

The forum will consist of a panel discussion and will be followed by a question and answer session. Some of the topics covered will include breast cancer myth vs. fact, environmental hazards, risk reduction, effective treatment options, dietary considerations and patient rights.

Panelists include Hope Nemiroff, Executive Director of Breast Cancer Options, Beverly Canin, Survivor and Breast Cancer Options Board Member, Yvonne Cable, Survivor and Breast Cancer Options Member and Carol Hornig, Certified Nutritionist and Psychotherapist formerly of Strang-Cornell Nutrition in New York City and Breast Cancer Options Board Member.

"I am proud to be joining with Ms. Nemiroff and Breast Cancer Options in offering this community forum. I urge anyone who is interested in learning lifesaving information about this disease to plan on attending," said Mr. Cahill.

Breast Cancer Options is the only non-profit, grassroots breast cancer support, information and health advocacy organization in the Hudson Valley. It is made up of survivors who understand that a woman diagnosed with breast cancer is suddenly faced with some of the most important decisions she will ever make about her own health care.
