Assemblymember Kevin Cahill (D-Ulster, Dutchess) would like to extend an invitation to all area residents to join him on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the Gardiner Town Meeting Hall for an informative and festive “Harvest Health Fair.” This event, co-hosted by Town of Gardiner officials and the Gardiner Day Committee, will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
“We are planning a casual, family-friendly forum that incorporates a wide range of health and wellness information for all age groups from care providers, not-for-profits, government agencies and local and individual practitioners,” stated Mr. Cahill. “I encourage everyone to stop by and spend some time chatting with a variety of area practitioners and advocates.”
This free event will be held at the Gardiner Town Meeting Hall rain or shine. Plans call for health screenings by the Ulster County Office for the Aging Care-a-Van, healthy living information, preventative care tips, nutritional hints, registration for qualified individuals for a mobile mammography van to be on site November 7, 2005, registration for a Breast Cancer Forum also on November 7th in Gardiner, a children’s arts and crafts corner, state-of-the-art child identification kits courtesy of the Ulster County Sheriff and more. For further information or questions, please contact Assemblymember Cahill’s staff at (845) 338-9610.
